Singer Loomis Apologizes and Asks For Forgiveness for Failing to Sing National Anthem: ‘Lesson Learned’

Singer Loomis made a humiliating apology after his performance unsuccessful performance national anthem during C-SPAN’s live broadcast last week.

The indie artist took the stage during the “Free and Equal” presidential debate between three third-party presidential candidates on Wednesday to sing “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

However, her voice wavered in the middle of the anthem, prompting her to stop and ask to start over, only to be told that the broadcast was live and she needed to continue.

“I screwed up, I screwed up, can I come back please?” – the singer begged.

The singer, the daughter of a veteran, spoke on Saturday about “all the craziness” that has happened since her botched performance went viral.

“First and foremost, I would like to apologize to the Free and Equal political team for this incident, and from the bottom of my heart I wanted to apologize,” she said in a statement. video from instagram.

“And I’m really sorry, I didn’t mean to ruin the national anthem and I wanted to thank you guys for giving me a chance and believing in me.”

Loomis added that she was concerned about singing the national anthem live.

“I was always afraid that I would fail, and then I did it and the world saw it,” she said. “So I just wanted somebody to see that you can turn something negative into something positive.”

“I was a little late and didn’t have a clear idea of what made me nervous when we went live,” she captioned the post.

“I know it wasn’t my best result and I’m truly sorry if it didn’t hit the target. I take full responsibility on my part and ask that you do not use this incident to reflect on the artist that I am and try to be.”

“I am so grateful for the opportunity and all the love and support I received. “I take this as a lesson learned and can’t wait to come back even stronger,” she added.

Her explanation comes just days after the singer, who has fewer than 3,000 streams on Spotify, said she was a “really good singer.”

“I really sing and I’m a really good singer. So what happened was I didn’t know it was live.” Loomis told TMZ.

“When we got there I was nervous and then scared, but it was crazy,” she added.

The singer has already received an offer from Good Morning America to atone for her guilt.
