Kerry Washington supports Kamala Harris and says she has proven herself

Kamala Harris is flooding the campaign zone with stars to lure infrequent voters to the polls on November 5th.

“This is not an election we can miss. There is too much at stake,” Washington told the crowd on Sunday.

“Women make decisions, very important decisions, every day.”

Chante Nelson, 42, a public policy strategist attending the event in Milwaukee, said anyone with a certain level of influence should do what Washington is doing.

“Women make decisions every day, very important decisions. And as a result of that, we should also be able to make decisions when it comes to running this country,” she said in an interview later.

The private event, featuring Washington, took place at HoneyBee Sage Wellness & Apothecary.

Owner Angela Mallett said she was disheartened when her choice was wrong. President Joe Biden or Trump and have previously chosen not to participate in the political process. She believes promises made to the black community during the election period are not being kept.

Washington on Harris: She’s proven herself to be effective ‘time and time again’

The evening before the event in Washington, Obama launched the program searing attack about Trump at a rally with Harris in Michigan. In particular, she encouraged men to consider Harris’ qualifications.

“I hope you’ll forgive me if I’m a little upset that some of us choose to ignore the gross incompetence of Donald Trump while asking Kamala to blindside us at every turn,” Obama said.

Her remarks resonated with about two dozen women who showed up the next day to hear the news from Washington. One of those present raised questions about Obama’s remarks and asked Washington how to deal with people who apply double standards to Harris.

“She has proven herself,” Washington responded, recounting the votes she personally cast for Harris in previous positions. “The way she has proven herself time and time again in these areas of leadership where her power and authority continues to grow because she has what it takes and she is so ready.”

Washington urged women to put pressure on people who doubt Harris’ abilities to explain why they have those concerns, to help them realize their assumptions.

“Yes, it’s frustrating,” she told them. “It’s those moments where… you’re not going to change in one conversation, like, ingrained misogyny, but you call people out to say, you know, you believe that somebody… that a woman you know is capable of the same thing.” ability like you.”
