Ten students injured after passenger bus crashes into school bus

Cuttack: At least 10 female students were injured today after a passenger bus hit a private school bus in Cuttack district of Odisha.

The incident took place in Khannagar Square in the morning. The bus was reportedly carrying students of Shakti Junior College when a passenger bus rammed into it near Khannagar Square, injuring the students on board. About 10 girls were injured, four of them seriously injured and were immediately rescued by local residents.

Meanwhile, taking advantage of the situation, the passenger bus driver tried to escape. However, he was overpowered by passers-by.

Sources said the accused was drunk and unable to walk.

Narrating the incident, some passersby said they rushed to the spot after hearing a loud sound and saw that a passenger bus had crashed into a school bus. Hearing the students’ cries for help, they rescued them. Some of them noticed that the accused driver was trying to escape, but they chased him and caught him.
