Joe Rogan Reveals Harris Campaign Conditions That Caused Podcast Interview to Fall Apart

Joe Rogan identified two conditions that are required Kamala Harris campaign which he said caused plans for the vice president to appear on his podcast to fall through.

Rogan welcomed Donald Trump to his studio in Austin, Texas on Friday to film the three-hour recording session. The Joe Rogan Experience – an interview that culminated with the former President several hours late to his planned rally in Michigan.

Harris was also expected to appear on the podcast at some point, but her spokesman Ian Sams said last Thursday that scheduling difficulties meant that would not be possible. “We spoke with Rogan and his team about the podcast. Unfortunately, that’s not going to work right now because of the scheduling of this… campaign period,” Sams told MSNBC host Chris Hayes.

On Tuesday morning, Rogan said the vice president’s campaign had set conditions for the interview – and appeared to be offering what is it still this is not entirely out of the question.

He said Harris’ campaign expected him to travel to the Democratic presidential nominee’s location and that the interview could only last one hour.

“Also, for the record, the Harris campaign has not given up on producing a podcast. They suggested a date on Tuesday, but I would have to drive to her place and they only wanted to spend an hour,” he wrote on X.

“I firmly believe that the best way to do this is in a studio in Austin. My sincere wish is just to have a nice conversation and get to know her as a person.”

With Nov. 5 just a week away, Rogan concluded, “I really hope we can pull this off.”

Rogan previously refused to invite Trump on his show, calling him an “existential threat to democracy,” but admitted he was influenced by the assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, in July.

Trump sat down with Rogan to discuss everything following the January 6 Capitol riots the question of whether extraterrestrial life exists as he continues to try judge young male voters.

During the interview, Rogan – most popular podcaster in the world — and Trump also discussed the possibility of Harris appearing on the podcast.

“She had to do it, and she can still do it. I hope she does,” Rogan told Trump. “I will speak to her like a human being. I would try to talk to her.”

He added: “That was my goal. Attracting her, trying to get her to express herself.”

The former president’s speech proved extremely popular, with more than 37 million views on YouTube since its release, despite complaints – including from Rogan – about search problems on the streaming platform.
