On Wednesday, October 9, 74-year-old Rosbach surprised fans with his frank confession during a question and answer session during his tour. “My least favorite? Captain Sandy,” he said to an explosion of gasps from the audience.

He continued: “And we all know why. I don’t like her. I usually don’t need people to work with them, I can work with almost anyone. do your job, keyword, do your job. Do it right and I can put up with almost anything. Don’t do your job and then pretend to be something you’re not? Guys, do you need the truth? Do you understand?

This tension dates back to season 10 of the series. Below Deckwhen Yawn replaced Rosbach, who was recovering from back surgery. Ian’s decision to fire crew member Camille Lamb without informing Rosbach rocked the situation, prompting Rosbach to express his disappointment on social media.

“I would fire her. But before that, I would notify the captain who I am (replacing), what I am doing and why, and not after the fact,” he wrote on his Facebook page. X (previously Twitter) after Yawn sent 25-year-old Lamb packing in the January 23, 2023 episode.

After Rosbach’s upset, Yawn defended her choice during an appearance on SiriusXM. Reality checked. “He’s in the hospital. Who will call and say: “Can I fire Camille?” Never in a million years would I do that,” she explained. “But I paid him a courtesy call and said, ‘By the way, I fired her. Because of her, there was almost a mutiny on your boat.”
