Belgium defeat Greece and move closer to Women’s EURO 2025

Teams from across Europe are fighting for the final seven places in the Women’s EURO 2025 final.

Here’s who booked their place in the second round of qualifying.

Bombers: Van Kerkhoven 36′, 57′, Wullaert 39′, 45+4′, Missipo 55′

After a goalless draw in the first leg, Belgium conceded goals at home to Greece in a 5-0 win to advance to the next round of qualifying.

The movement was one-way, the hosts recorded 23 attempts to the visitors’ two, seven of which were on target.

Ella van Kerkhoven opened the scoring with a header before Tessa Wullaert doubled the lead. Both players then scored in opposite order, with Cassandra Missipo scoring between them.

Wullaert also could have had a hat-trick but saw his effort hit the post late on as Belgium went wide. All round 2 matches are listed below.

The two-legged matches will take place from November 27 to December 3.

The winners of the second round will compete alongside tournament hosts Switzerland and direct qualifiers Denmark, England, France, Germany, Iceland, Italy, the Netherlands and Spain.
