In the Monday, October 28 episode, Brent, a professional BBQ chef from Pocahontas, Arkansas, cooked up some impressive solutions. He entered the coveted bonus round with $20,700 in cash, a prize trip to St. Lucia and the outside support of his adoring parents.

Fittingly selecting “Food and Drink,” he joined Seacrest at center stage and selected the additional letters “G, C, P, O.” The three-word riddle read, “_OT ‘_ _ _GE’ ‘TOPP_NG,” and Seacrest, despite his hardships, remarked, “Not bad!”

However, while the answer came to many viewers immediately, as was clear on social media, it did not come to Brent. When the ten second timer started, Brent looked puzzled and guessed, “Um, ‘hot big topping?’ It was quite obvious that he initially did not know the answer to the riddle that he could solve, so one of the simple solutions was remembered in his memory.

With only four seconds left, it dawned on him: “Hot fudge,” he declared.

Seacrest admitted he was right and revealed that the gold prize card contained the elusive $100,000. An explosion of confetti followed as Brent, flying over the moon, hugged his parents and the iconic figure. Vanna White. “You did it!” Seacrest exclaimed as his total appeared on the screen: a whopping $120,704.

The game show shared the big win on YouTube, where fans in the comments were overjoyed but also admitted to going through an emotional rollercoaster of not being able to remember the odds of winning the jackpot being so close.

“I got worried for a moment,” read the top comment.

“Me too! It was an amazing victory!!!” replied another fan.

“What a great way to start this week and I literally had a heart attack!” a third admitted.
