Helena Indian Alliance provides free dental care to tribal members

HELENA — For the first time, the Helena Indian Alliance is providing free dental services to tribal members on Tuesday and Wednesday.

This is a partnership with Little Shell Tribal Health and Smiles Across Montana.

The Helena Indian Alliance says they have been making appointments over the past few months, but walk-ins are also encouraged.

The only requirement is that the patient be a tribal member or descendant.

The Helena Indian Alliance says their goal is to close the care gap, and taking care of a person’s smile can be an important factor in their confidence.

“Your mouth is part of your body. It determines whether you will be confident in getting the job. It influences whether you smile confidently. Things complement each other and affect every aspect of your life,” he said. Caitlin Gripp, administrative manager for the Indian Alliance of Helena.

The Indian Alliance of Helena is providing free dental services in conjunction with the Glow Alley Halloween event on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m.
