Body of Georgia TikTok mom Minelis Zoe Rodriguez-Ramirez found near Walmart

The body of a missing Georgia mother and TikTokker was found near Walmart, where she was last seen a week ago when police arrested a man in connection with her alleged kidnapping and murder.

Minelis Zoe Rodriguez-Ramirez, 25, was last seen at a Walmart in Cornelia, Georgia, on Oct. 22, 2024, with her last known text being sent around 9:30 p.m., according to the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office.

“I’m waiting for my brother to pick him up,” read a message sent to her fiancé, Julio Tovor. Now Habersham news reported.

“It didn’t make sense. She doesn’t talk like that,” Tovor told the publication.

According to the publication, Tovor said that his fiancee went to Walmart to exchange a photo with an acquaintance.

Rodriguez-Ramirez, the mother of a 9-year-old daughter, moved to the United States from Puerto Rico six years ago after she was offered a job at nearby Mt. Vernon Hills, Inc.

The loving mother was separated from her daughter, who returned to Puerto Rico to live with her father.

“Mainlis talked a lot about her daughter. She treasured her daughter,” Tovor said.

Waking up the next morning without hearing a word from her, Tovor said he felt something was wrong and called Rodriguez-Ramirez’s mother.

Her family reported her missing on October 23.

Ramirez, who has posted numerous Spanish-language videos on TikTok, had unique tattoos on her body, which was highlighted in a “BOLO” alert issued by the sheriff’s office.

Her car was located five miles down the road on Hazel Creek Road, and witnesses nearby said they saw a dark SUV and a gold minivan near Rodriguez-Ramirez that night, Now Haversham News reported.

Remains believed to be Ramirez’s were discovered in a “remote area” by the sheriff’s department, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, according to law enforcement and police. Fox 5 Atlanta.

Officials have not said where Ramirez’s body was found, but Habersham County Coroner Kelsey McIntyre said the remains were found on Furniture Drive. 11 Alive reports.

The road parallels a Walmart parking lot located about 50 miles north of Athens, Georgia.

Angel DeJesus Rivera-Sanchez, 24, was arrested in Atlanta on Monday and charged with kidnapping in connection with Ramirez’s disappearance.

He was booked into the Habersham County Detention Center but will face murder charges in connection with Ramirez’s death.

An autopsy on the remains is currently underway as neither the cause of death nor the motive for Ramirez’s alleged murder have been identified.
