Nick Kyrgios stuns fans with 'crazy' theory about how Egyptian pyramids were built

Kyrgios’ theory caused a strong reaction on social networks.

Tennis star Nick Kyrgios has stunned social media users with his theory on how the Egyptian pyramids were built.

Kyrgios has played just one game of competitive tennis since December 2022 and none since June 2023 as he underwent operations on his knee and wrist.

He has dedicated his time as a commentator and analyst at major events such as Wimbledonand confirmed that he will return to his professional career tennis.

In April he said: “I will definitely come back. It’s just difficult to give an exact date because the injury was quite serious.”

Kyrgios, known for his outspoken and sometimes controversial views, has also been active on social media throughout his recovery.

He has now appeared on Louis Theroux Podcastwhere he discussed a number of well-known conspiracy theories.

And in one section of the podcast, he stated that the Egyptian pyramids were not built by people.

He said, “No, I don’t think so (I think they were built by people). This is impossible”.

When asked if a possible construction method involved logs and blocks, Kyrgios replied: “That’s crazy. How is this possible if they did all the measurements correctly and everything is aligned?”

“And they did it by rolling big rocks over logs—it’s crazy.

“Why are the doors so big? For example, who needs to go through doors if they are so big?

“I don’t know who it was. I just don’t think we were capable of it.

“It’s 2024 and we can’t even get along with each other. And you think we built the pyramids? You are crazy. This is crazy.”

Social media users were shocked by the comments, with one writing: “The world’s most knowledgeable Egyptian archaeologists will present all the evidence that humans actually built the pyramids and Kyrgios will still believe he is the smartest person in the room.”
