Russia conducted 364 trade missions with the countries of the Caspian region – Business and Economics

ASTRAKHAN, October 30. /TASS/. Over the past few years, Russia has conducted 364 trade and economic missions with the countries of the Caspian region, including more than 200 with Kazakhstan, said Vice President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vladimir Padalko.

“Over the past two years until September 2024, Russia conducted 204 trade and economic missions with Kazakhstan, 24 with Turkmenistan, 53 with Azerbaijan, 83 with Iran. In total, 364 trade and economic missions were held,” he said.

The development of the Caspian region plays an important role for the world community, since it accounts for 12% of energy exports, 7% of world grain exports and almost 5% of ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy supplies, Padalko added.
