Phoenix Woman Creates Fun and Eye-catching Halloween Displays

Phoenix Woman Creates Fun and Eye-catching Halloween Displays

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Halloween usually celebrates all things spooky, creepy and scary, but one Phoenix woman is using the holiday to spread joy and happiness!

Good morning, Ian Schwartz from Arizona visited Lori Harris at her home to tell us how she uses skeletons to do some good.

21 days before Halloween, Harris creates a new skeleton scene in his front yard. Neighbors walking their dogs and passing by look forward to seeing what she does every day.

Her passion began five years ago during the COVID-19 pandemic. She received an overwhelming response from neighbors who were happy to see something positive during this time. Now her images have become more sophisticated and extravagant!

“The skeleton family grew from two people to nine, and so on. It’s a growing family,” Harris said. “I cook them in the evening and in the morning they are ready to go. They only come out in daylight and everyone comes and enjoys them.”

Harris created eye-catching scenes such as skeleton cheerleaders, skeletons carving pumpkins, and Flintstones-inspired exhibits. Her latest scene was the skeleton pirate scene, and she also created the famous scene from E.T.!

If you want to check out the exhibits and see what other wacky ideas Harris comes up with, she’s at Hedgehog Place, near 51st Avenue and Happy Valley Road.
