Katie Gaudreau set a new wedding date in honor of her brothers, Johnny And Matthewdied a few hours before the date of her original ceremony.

“That day,” Katie wrote on Instagram on September 5th. “Right in the midst of preparing for the best day of my life, the unthinkable happens that will change my life forever. I remember sitting in a hotel with my family a week ago and texting Devin about how we forgot to practice swimming. To think that this was our biggest worry at that moment when, in just a split second and a phone call, our lives changed forever.”

Katie added: “Don’t forget to tell your people you love them. I would do anything to tell my older brothers that I love them one more time.”

Last month, Katie revealed she paid tribute to her brothers new engraving on her wedding ring.

“Now forever with me. J&M,” Katie wrote on Instagram Story on September 7, sharing a photo of the group with Johnny and Matthew’s initials.

In a separate post, Katie talked about how much her brothers, both older than her, hugged her fiancé.

“My brothers loved Devin more than he could ever imagine,” Katie wrote on Instagram on Sept. 3. “They were so looking forward to our wedding.”
