McNeilus Truck and Manufacturing, Inc. announced an order from Pride Disposal & Recycling Company for two McNeilus vehicles.® Volterra ZSL Electric Recycling and Recycling Vehicles (eRCV). The new vehicles will be delivered to the Oregon-based waste and recycling hauler, marking a significant step forward in Pride Disposal’s sustainability efforts and commitment to cutting-edge technology.

Pride Disposal, a long-time user of McNeilus trucks, selected the Volterra ZSL eRCV to meet the unique needs of its diverse service area, which includes both urban areas and rural communities. With varying elevations and some routes requiring a 30-minute drive from the site, Pride Disposal needed a solution that could handle the geographic challenges while maintaining adequate battery life. Following a successful demonstration in which the Volterra ZSL performed flawlessly in all service areas, the company decided to integrate two electric vehicles into its fleet.
