Franchises of the company Indian Premier League (IPL) submitted the final list of remaining players before the October 31 deadline.

Teams like Rajasthan Royals and defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders made the highest number of retentions.

Here is the final list of players retained by each of the 10 IPL teams ahead of the upcoming mega auction for the 2025 season.

KKR retains six players including Narine and Russell

IPL 2024 champions, Kolkata Knight Ridershave announced their remaining players for IPL 2025.

The team has decided to retain Rinku Singh for ₹13 crore, Varun Chakravarthy, Sunil Narine and Andre Russell for ₹12 crore each, Harshit Rana and Ramandeep Singh for ₹4 crore each.

KKR now has ₹51 crore left in its purse from its ₹120 crore budget for the upcoming auction.

RR retains six players including captain Sanju Samson

Rajasthan Royals decided to retain their captain Sanju Samson and star opener Yashasvi Jaiswal for ₹18 crore each.

Meanwhile, promising figures like Riyan Parag and Dhruv Jurel were retained for ₹14 crore along with Shimron Hetmyer for ₹11 crore and pacer Sandeep Sharma for ₹4 crore.

This leaves RR with a purse of ₹41 crore out of a total budget of ₹120 crore.

Sunrisers Hyderabad retain 5 players including Klaasen and Head

Second place IPL 2024, Sunrisers Hyderabadretained the likes of Heinrich Klaasen (₹23 crore), Pat Cummins (₹18 crore), Abhishek Sharma (₹14 crore), Travis Head (₹14 crore) and Nitish Kumar Reddy (₹6 crore) .

SRH have selected their core group of players as they look to challenge for the title.

Now the SRZ is left with ₹45 crore in their wallet.

CSK retains 5 players including MS Dhoni

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has decided to retain captain Ruturaj Gaikwad along with veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja for ₹18 crore each.

Meanwhile, foreign pacer Mathisha Pathirana was retained for ₹13 crore along with Shivam Dube for ₹12 crore and M.S. Dhoni for ₹4 crore.

CSK now has ₹55 crore left in its purse.

RCB retains three players including Kohli

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have decided to retain their star player Virat Kohli (₹21 crore).

Kohli, who has represented RCB since the first edition, is the highest run-scorer in IPL history.

Apart from Kohli, RCB has retained Indian players Rajat Patidar (₹11 crore) and Yash Dayal (₹5 crore).

RCB now has ₹83 crore left in its purse.

DC will retain 4 players; Rishabh Pant leaves

Delhi Capitals (DC) have decided to retain star Indian spinner Axar Patel (₹16.50 crore) and Kuldeep Yadav (₹13.25 crore) for the 2025 IPL season.

Meanwhile, South Africa’s up-and-comer Tristan Stubbs (₹10 crore) retains his place alongside Abhishek Porel (₹4 crore).

This leaves ₹73 crore in DC’s purse. DC released their captain Rishabh Pant.

MSU will retain 5 players; KL Rahul leaves

Lucknow Super Giants release their captain KL Rahul leave, as he will now be a participant in the mega-auction.

MSU retained five including Nicholas Pooran (₹21 crore), Ravi Bishnoi (₹11 crore), Mayank Yadav (₹11 crore), Mohsin Khan (₹4 crore) and Ayush Badoni (₹4 crore pounds sterling).

Local bodies are left with ₹69 crore in the auction.

PBKS retains two players

Punjab Kings have retained only two players: Shashank Singh (₹5.5 crore) and Prabhsimran Singh (₹4 crore). PBKS will once again take on a completely new side, which has been the theme of its recent seasons in the IPL. PBKS has ₹110.5 crore left.

MI retains 5 players including Pandya as captain

The Indians of Mumbai (Michigan) chose to keep their major Indian playersleaving the likes of Jasprit Bumrah for Rs 18 crore, Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya for Rs 16.35 crore each, Rohit Sharma for Rs 16.30 crore and Tilak Varma for Rs 8 crore.

MI now has ₹45 crore left in MI’s purse out of the ₹120 crore auction budget.

Gujarat retains 5 players including Gill and Rashid

Gujarat Titans (GT) have decided to retain Rashid Khan for ₹18 crore, Shubman Gill for ₹16.5 crore and Sai Sudharsan for ₹8.5 crore. Meanwhile, Rahul Tewatia (₹4 crore) and Shah Rukh Khan (₹4 crore) have also been retained.

This means ₹75 crore is left in GT’s purse out of the upcoming auction’s total budget of ₹120 crore.
