US Election News: Trump Targets Immigration, JLo to Join Harris in Nevada

Donald Trump nominee J.D. Vance appeared on Joe Rogan’s podcast Thursday in an extensive three-hour interview in which he suggested he and Trump could win the “straight gay vote” – a comment that has been criticized by some members of the LGBT community on social media .

They discussed treatments for transgender people, as well as abortion, the Covid vaccine, Muslim Americans and Vance’s Netflix picks.

Vance once stated that wealthy parents accept their children’s transgender or non-binary identities as a way to “renounce their white privilege.”

“One of the ways these people can participate in the DEI bureaucracy in this country is by being transgender,” Vance said, referring to diversity, equity and inclusion policies.

Vance also criticized the Covid-19 vaccine, despite having received it himself.

“The worst time I’ve felt in the last 15 years was when I took the vaccine,” he said.

Regarding the assassination attempt on Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, Vance said he went into “fight or flight mode” when he heard Trump was targeted.

“We were at a miniature golf course in Cincinnati, Ohio,” Vance said. He added that he had to gather his children, “throw them in the car, go home, load all of my weapons and basically stand like a sentry at our front door.”

Trump himself appeared on Rogan’s podcast in a three-hour episode that aired five days ago.

Rogan, whose podcast has more than 18 million subscribers on YouTube, said he also invited Kamala Harris to his show, but added that he rejected the terms laid out by her campaign, including a one-hour limit on interviews.
