Update: AMD has Ryzen 7 9800X3D officially announcedstarting price is $479.

Original story: It’s no secret that AMD Ryzen 9000X3D processors are just around the corner, with a launch date of November 7th. But which Whether a 9000 series 3D V-Cache processor will be released remains an open question, although many have speculated that it will be the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, not least because we’ve seen it leaked performance data. These assumptions seem to have now been officially confirmed, although not by AMD.

It was not AMD, but motherboard manufacturers who missed this information – or rather, they shouted it from the rooftops. Gigabyte missed this opportunity by showing the 8-core 9800X3D processor on the BIOS page. advertisement for the new X3D Turbo Mode (which, by the way, apparently just disables SMT).

However, Gigabyte’s possible abandonment is nothing compared to MSI’s rooftop announcement as the company says they are “excited to introduce the upcoming AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D.” This is followed by four other mentions of the 9800X3D in a three-paragraph post that looks more like an AMD processor announcement than a motherboard compatibility announcement.

And that’s nothing compared to Similar statement from ASRockwhich, to be fair, as far as ASRock is concerned, at least looks more like a compatibility announcement than a processor announcement. The company says its “AM5 series motherboards are fully compatible with the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor, maximizing its impressive gaming performance.”

And, if we need it, it will be stated even more clearly, ASRock continues: “AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D is the first model released in the 9000X3D processor series.”

I’m not sure if it’s AMD giving the go-ahead, motherboard makers finding loopholes in the embargo, or if it’s just caution and excitement. Either way – it doesn’t matter – we now have confirmation that the Ryzen 7 9800X3D will hit the market next week.

This processor with a large cache size may be one of best processors for gaming– his predecessor, after all, is currently That best gaming processor. And if the recently published Geekbench 9800X3D results are anything to go by, we can expect a significant increase in performance over Ryzen 7 7800X3D. However, we still don’t have any official information about the specifications and actual gaming performance.

We also have no official word on pricing. However, recent rumors (by using VideoKardz) suggest that the 9800X3D will cost $30 more than the 7800X3D at launch, which will certainly prove that PC Gamer hardware overlord Dave James is ever prescient in his prediction that 9000X3D chips won’t be cheap because “AMD is in a position where it can charge whatever it wants for its golden gaming goose.”

However, we will have to wait for an official word from AMD regarding this. Or heck, maybe pricing information will come from MSI, ASRock and Gigabyte. Why not, eh?
