Mark Cuban ‘Apologizes’ for Offensive Comment to Trump’s Women: ‘Can’t Record Every Interview’

Billionaire Mark Cuban half-heartedly apologized Friday to those who “felt wronged” by him, saying the women around former President Donald Trump are weak and stupid while acknowledging that he has “no excuse” for his hurtful words.

Cuban, a top campaign deputy for Vice President Kamala Harris, attempted to retract his remarks the day after causing everyone’s rage for emphatically declaring on ABC’s “The View” that Trump is “never” around “strong, smart women.”

“When I said that during the interview, I didn’t quite get it the way I thought I would. So I apologize to anyone who felt offended or upset by my response. As I said, this was not about Trump voters, supporters or employees. Current or former,” he published on X early Friday.

“And I tuned in to a 6-second sound bite. No excuses. I can’t get through every interview. My skin is quite thick.”

During his talk show appearance, the “Shark Tank” co-host suggested that Trump doesn’t surround himself with smart women, in part because they threaten him.

“Donald Trump, you will never see him among strong, smart women. Never,” Cuban said.

“It’s so simple. They scare him. He doesn’t like it when they challenge him. Nikki Haley will call him out on his nonsense about reproductive rights and the way he sees, treats and talks about women. I mean, he just can’t have her around. It won’t work.”

His insult, coming just days after President Biden called Trump supporters “trash,” drew a sharp response from the GOP candidate’s campaign and the best female allies to come out of the woodwork put it in place.

Cuban on Friday expressed regret over the criticism leveled at him.

“However, I am concerned that many comments or reports in the media, whether for or against me, contain some level of abuse. Not only here. But everywhere,” he said in his apology statement.

“I don’t blame anyone. We are where we are,” he continued.

“We hope that in a week something will change at least a little. In the spirit of joy… I should add that all the AI memes of me with long hair drive me crazy. So there is something positive!”

This comes after Cuban previously tried to distance himself from the eyebrow-raising comment by providing The Post with a list of conservative women he considers smart, including Haley, Kellyanne Conway and Tulsi Gabbard.

Meanwhile, Republican women were quick to respond to Cuban’s awkward remarks.

“This is very offensive. I worked for Donald Trump. I consider myself a strong woman. I consider those around me to be strong women. Kellyanne Conway, Brooke Rollins, Ivanka Trump, Hope Hicks, Sarah Sanders,” said Kayleigh McEnany, Trump’s former White House press secretary.

“That’s before we get to the women that Donald Trump has elevated to a very high level, like Nikki Haley, who still supports him, like Amy Coney Barrett, who he nominated to the Supreme Court,” added McEnany, co-host series “Outperformed” on Fox.
