On Friday morning, the dog found itself in an unusual predicament: it was stuck high above the ground and could not get down.

Milo, a husky, had to be rescued by Tempe firefighters after his family found him sitting on a ledge above their door. According to Facebook postMilo managed to reach the ledge by carefully walking along a narrow shelf with a cornice that was 40 feet long and only 6 inches wide.

A Tempe Fire and Medical Service engineer brought the large dog back safely to the ground, using treats to coax Milo during the rescue.

Returning to safety, Milo was reunited with his family and received even more treats.

“I hope Milo learned his lesson: don’t go up unless you can get back down safely!” Tempe Fire is published.
