Seattle Mariners find out game times for 2025 games in Sacramento vs. A’s

The 2025 season will be a departure from schedule for the Seattle Mariners. The M’s will play in Sacramento for the first time, as division rival Athletics will play there. The A’s will move to Las Vegas for the 2028 season (at least for now).

Several concerns have been raised about this plan over the past few months. The playing surface, which was supposed to be turf, will now be grass, which has received approval from the MLBPA. In addition, Sacramento’s summers are unbearably hot, raising concerns about temperatures during next year’s games. As a result, we were waiting for the M’s to play in Sacramento. Daytime games in this heat will be a real challenge for Seattle.

We got answers to those questions Thursday when the A’s released their home game times:

Overall, it looks like the Mariners are taking a break from their schedule with the A’s. First, they only played six games in Sacramento, while they played seven in Seattle. Moreover, the M’s only have one day of play in Sacramento. Luckily for them, it will arrive in early May, when the heat is not expected to be a real problem.

Sailors finished last season 85-77 and missed the playoffs by 1.0 games. It was the second year in a row that Seattle missed the playoffs by that margin. The A’s finished fourth in the American League West.
