20 years of Siouxland Sleepout impacting agencies that help the homeless

SIOUX TOWNSHIP (KTIV) – Dozens of people are deciding to sleep under the stars or spend the night in the park, with all proceeds going toward ending homelessness in Sioux Sioux.

On Friday, November 1st, Siouxland Sleepout will host its 20th annual fundraising event in Cone Park.

Organizers want turnout for the 20th year to be larger than ever.

Participants are encouraged to bring materials to spend the night in the elements to temporarily experience the harsh conditions of homelessness.

The event will include a silent auction, children’s activities, a cooking competition, hot chocolate, chili dinner with donations and live entertainment.
