Week 9 of high school football: Who was Friday night’s winner in Washington County?

Last week Washington County regular school football season Three games took place on Friday night and two more on Saturday afternoon. Here’s what happened on Friday:

Parker DeBoe threw four touchdown passes and Boonesboro clinched the No. 1 seed in the Class 1A North playoffs with a 45-0 win over rival Smithsburg (0-9).

Blake Main and Edward Boakye also competed for second-half touchdowns for the visiting Warriors (8-1), who host a first-round playoff game next weekend.

Debo opened the scoring with a 1-yard touchdown run on a direct snap in the first quarter. In the second quarter, he added a 25-yard scoring run and caught a 19-yard touchdown pass from Colin Telemeco before Owen Hardy kicked a 20-yard field goal in the final seconds for a 24–0 halftime lead.

DeBoe picked up the bouncing punt and ran 50 yards for his final touchdown of the game in the third quarter. Main added his own 9-yard score later in the period, and Boakye scored from 15 yards out in the fourth quarter.

The Blazers (6-3) got touchdowns from seven different players as they beat the visiting Panthers (3-6), securing their second winning season in program history and their first home playoff game in the Class 1A West. .

Seth Possinger returned an interception 15 yards for a touchdown, Javin Grimes threw for an 11-yard touchdown and Mason Brezler scored on a 6-yard pass from Hayden Hodge to give Clear Spring a 21-0 lead at the end of the first quarter.

The Blazers led 35-0 at halftime after a 1-yard touchdown run by Nick Callember and a 37-yard touchdown run by Hodge.

Camden Whittington scored on a 20-yard run in the third quarter and Logan Fair added a 2-yard touchdown run in the fourth.

Hodge went 6-for-6 on extra kicks and Mason Semler converted 2 points.

Williamsport 14, Manchester Valley 12

Seonta Wilmore ran for the game-tying touchdown with a minute left in the fourth quarter, Tamiji Boyes-Brown kicked the two-point conversion to give the Wildcats the lead (6-3), and they held on to beat the Mavericks (2-3). 7) post their fifth winning season in six years and a home game in the first round of the 2A-1A West playoffs.

Boyce-Brown also scored a touchdown in the first quarter.
