Search continues for missing surfer off East Oahu

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Multiple agencies are scouring the waters off East Oahu after receiving reports of a missing surfer Friday night.

HFD says a woman alerted them that her 24-year-old boyfriend was missing just before 7:15 p.m.

Firefighters and police work in the Sandy Beach Park area.

An HFD search helicopter was spotted flying over Sandy Beach and Hanauma Bay around 8 p.m.
