Free seminar aims to help women return to the labor market

PHOENIX — As Arizona’s unemployment rate continues to rise, a free workshop is being offered to help women re-entering the job market.

To support women during this difficult transition, a group of dynamic women entrepreneurs are hosting a free event designed to empower and prepare participants for their return to work.

This special workshop will only last a few hours and will take place on Tuesday, October 29th.

The event will offer practical tools to help participants overcome common obstacles such as impostor syndrome.

Organized by a dedicated group of successful panelists, these women will help participants stay relevant in today’s ever-changing work environment.

One of the featured panelists for the event is interview coach Britt Powell. In a conversation with ABC15’s Kaylee O’Kelly, she emphasized the importance of first impressions in the hiring process.

“The best thing a person can do is practice. Find someone who regularly interviews people, give them your resume and ask for a mock interview. This is one of the most effective ways to build trust,” Powell explained.

In addition to learning invaluable interview techniques, participants will also have the opportunity to receive a free professional photo, ideal for updating LinkedIn profiles or increasing their social media presence.

They will be taken by Jennifer Lloyd, a philanthropist and professional photographer.

“A professional head shot can open doors. A lot of women don’t realize the cost, and when you’re looking for a job, every little expense adds up,” Lloyd said.

The benefits don’t end there. This group will even offer free color analysis to help members find the best wardrobe colors for their skin tone.

The goal is to make these women look and feel their best when they return to the professional world.

The master class is free, but the number of places is limited. To attend you must reserve a place.
