Floyd Schofield vs. Rene Tellez Chiron fight schedule, 2024 boxing fight results

It’s time for the rising lightweight star to shine Floyd Schofield who will headline the main card for the first time against Rene Tellez Giron at the Virgin Hotels event in Las Vegas on November 2. The 12-round fight, as well as the undercard results, will be broadcast DAZN.

Schofield (17-0, 12 KOs) is one of the brightest young stars in world boxing.

The 22-year-old, originally from New Jersey and Austin, Texas, is blessed with incredible speed, agility, athleticism and an outstanding variety of shots. This will be his first 12-round fight.

“The preparation has been difficult, we’ve had a tough training camp, but I’m ready to show what I can do on Saturday,” Schofield said at the final press conference.

“I would like to thank Rene for taking the fight, but I hope he is ready to give his life in this ring, just like I am.”

Giron (20-3, 13 KOs) has never been stopped in his nine-year professional career. The 25-year-old Mexican defeated British southpaw Alex Dilmaghani by TKO in the seventh round and is on a three-fight winning streak.

“I’m so excited for my first main event fight in Las Vegas,” said a jubilant Giron. “I’m ready, thank you again for being here.

“The truth is that I am very happy. I fought in Vegas, but now I’m the main event. I’m ready to do whatever it takes. I’m very happy and grateful.”
