The Jaguars have an obvious answer to stopping the Eagles.

The Jacksonville Jaguars know what they need to do to stop this Philadelphia Eagles team. But we all know that this is easier said than done.

There will be little room for error in this Eagles offense. One missed tackle, coverage or missed assignment could cost the Jaguars. This Eagles team is too talented to be given more opportunities. They will take full advantage of this.

The Jaguars’ linebackers will have to make tackles to prevent big plays. They will also have to do their job. If one linebacker’s job is to stop the run and another’s job is to stay home and read the quarterback on pass-read option plays, they can’t worry about doing someone else’s job.

Saquon Barkley makes this task much more difficult.

“Physical runner. He (Saquon Barkley) runs hard,” Jaguars linebacker Ventrell Miller said. “I’m looking forward to this match. I’ll go out there and prove what I can do, so I’m really excited.”

In any defense, Barkley is difficult to handle one-on-one.

“Control your feet on contact. Get to the ball and wrap it up. Make sure you close the ball on contact. He has it all in his bag, so when you hit him, be sure to grab it. We have to be ready for the quarterback zone read. We worked on it in practice and I feel good going into the game.”

The Jaguars have a solid lineup of linebackers.

“This is mainly coaching. Like I said, I’m one of those guys who probably stayed the same. But basically everyone else was able to switch from Mike to Will to Sam and stuff like that. I say I do too, but I just don’t do it.”

These midfielders have been asked to move around and are doing their best to fill the spots of the different midfielders.

“I feel comfortable when I want. It happens naturally, as you said. Like I said, if I ever need to change jobs, I can do that too. So, whatever they need me for.”

The Jaguars will play hard under their head coach Doug Pederson, who obviously has experience with the Eagles. In 2018, he won the Eagles’ first Super Bowl.
