What made the occasion so special was Jaya Bachchan’s announcement of adding another member to the family – Karisma Kapoor. Randhir and Babita Kapoor’s daughter, actress Karisma was engaged to Abhishek.

In the video, Jaya welcomes Karisma into the family with a smile and then actress Raja Babu comes on stage and emotionally hugs Jaya Bachchan and then poses with other family members. For the uninitiated, Abhishek Bachchan and Karisma Kapoor announced their engagement in 2002 at Amitabh Bachchan’s 60th birthday celebrations. The video soon went viral on the internet and netizens expressed their thoughts on the matter.
