Light rain expected in Arizona, good weather ahead

PHOENIX (AZFamily) – It’s the weekend! This Saturday, highs throughout the valley were in the mid-80s.

There may be a slight chance of showers or thunderstorms this evening, but most areas will remain dry. The chances increase on Sunday, but don’t let that affect your outdoor plans.

Rain will mainly affect the northeast valley and highlands. In areas where rain is observed there will only be small amounts of rain.

Sunday highs will be in the 70s.

Showers are likely in some parts of the mountains on Sunday night. Some snow will mix with rain, with less than 1 inch of snow expected between 6,000 and 7,000 feet and 3 inches above 7,000 feet.

Highs in the Valley should remain in the 70s for most of the work week.
