On the final weekend before Election Day, a shocking new poll in Iowa shows: Vice President Kamala Harris leading ex President Donald Trump by 3 points in the Hawkeye State.

New Iowa Poll Shows Vice President Kamala Harris leading ex President Donald Trump by 3 points.

Iowa State Poll sponsored by Des Moines Register was released on Saturday three days before the November 5 elections. J. Ann Seltzer, a gold standard researcher in Iowa, did so, according to a public opinion poll. Axios.

CONNECTED: New Poll Shows Kamala Harris Leads Iowa by 3 Points

The polling is outstanding — an Emerson poll released Saturday showed Trump with a 10-point lead in Iowa — but it hints there could be some surprises on Tuesday. Seltzer is famous for his past polls that accurately predicted Trump’s 8-point lead in Iowa. Joe Biden in 2020 and his comfortable victory over Hillary Clinton in 2016.

One important finding: The poll shows Harris leading Trump by 20 percentage points among women, and she has cut his lead among men in half since September. Overall, the poll has shifted seven points from Trump to Harris since September.

Local elections in focus

With a Senate seat now open, New Yorkers will soon head to the polls to choose between incumbent Senator Kirsten Gillibrand and political newcomer Mike Sapraikon.

Gillibrand, who has represented New York since 2009, is known for her bipartisan efforts on issues such as sexual assault in the military and equal pay, while Sapraicone, a former NYPD officer, is focused on restoring government integrity and ensuring public security.
