Firefighters extinguish a fire on the street. 413 people in Bucks Co. amid severe drought in the regionThe current severe drought is creating conditions that are conducive to the spread of fire.

BRISTOL TWP., Pa. (WPVI) — Crews responded to an overnight fire in Bristol, Bucks County.

An action camera was on the scene early Thursday morning behind Bucks County Community College’s Epstein campus off Highway 413 in Bristol Township.

Officials were first notified of the fire around 11:30 pm on Wednesday. Firefighters battled the fire until 5 a.m. Thursday.

Officials said the fire was contained but would smolder for several more days.

Residents may continue to see smoke in the area.
