THIS AFTERNOON

Partly sunny skies will dominate the afternoon, with isolated showers possible in the early afternoon, especially south of Indianapolis. Rain chances decrease as the evening progresses, and highs will be in the mid-60s in northern parts and closer to the 70s further south. Winds will shift from southwest to west-northwest by evening, reaching speeds of 10 to 15 mph with gusts reaching 20 mph. Overall, it’s a fairly dry and cool day for most of Central Indiana.

TONIGHT

Showers will stop completely by the evening as a cold front clears the area. Expect gradual clearing overnight followed by mostly clear skies. Temperatures will drop quickly, with lows falling into the mid-40s across much of Central Indiana. Winds will shift north, maintaining speeds of 5 to 10 mph, creating a breezy, cool night perfect for Friday evening activities.

TOMORROW

Saturday will bring a return to more seasonal weather with mostly sunny skies. Highs will remain slightly cooler than recent days, around 60 degrees across the region. A light north wind of 5 to 10 mph will keep you feeling cool, making it a good day to get outside and enjoy the fall weather, albeit with a jacket.

TOMORROW NIGHT

Clouds will begin to increase Sunday night, but the night will remain dry and cool. Temperatures will drop to 30 degrees, especially in rural and low-lying areas. Winds will be calm, but some areas could still experience some scattered frost early Sunday morning.

SUNDAY

Sunday is expected to be mostly sunny with temperatures around 60 degrees. The wind will be light and variable, calming down in the evening, making for a great day to watch the Indiana Pacers play the Philadelphia 76ers at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Expect excellent conditions for any outdoor activity before or after the game.

SUNDAY EVENING

By the end of the weekend, skies will be mostly clear and temperatures will drop back into the 30s. Winds will shift slightly out of the southeast at around 5 mph, and a calm night should help any outdoor plans continue uninterrupted.

Monday evening remains mostly clear, with temperatures in the low 40s as winds shift south. Near-record warmth is expected Tuesday, with temperatures reaching 70 degrees and wind gusts reaching 30 mph. Tuesday night will be partly cloudy with lows in the low 50s. Another warm day is expected by Wednesday with highs near 80 degrees and stronger winds of 30 to 40 mph in the afternoon. By Wednesday evening, clouds increase with a slight chance of late rain and temperatures drop into the low 50s. Thursday, Halloween, promises to bring showers and possible thunderstorms with cooler temperatures dropping into the mid-60s.
