At the funeral ceremony of Behem Manhene Nana Fosu Gyeabur Akoto II, several interesting events took place that attracted public attention.

Many chiefs and queen mothers gathered to pay their respects and make appearances.

Among those present were Behem Hemaa, Nana Adwoa Po Dwamena Serwaa II; Ejisu hemaa, Nana Yaa Asantewaa II; and Mampong Hemaa, Nana Agyakoma Difi II.

Former rapper and now Manso Nkwanta Hemaa, Nana Nyarko Aboraa Sika III, later showed up at the funeral and began greeting those in attendance.

She warmly greeted Hemaa Bechem and Hemaa Ejisu, even exchanging hugs with them.

However, when it came time for her to greet Mampong Hemaa, she shook her head and did not extend her hand, leaving many in the audience puzzled as to the reason for her neglect.

With no choice but to move on, Manso Nkwanta-hemaa began greeting others before showing off her adowa dancing skills to the accompaniment of drumming.

The incident has since led to speculation about a possible feud between the two Queen Mothers.

In an exclusive interview with GHPage TV, a close source revealed the background to their tensions.

During a recent birthday dinner for Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II hemaa Manso Nkwanta arrived late, a source said.

By this time, Hemaa Mampong was already sitting. Mampong hemaa, who is considered the leader among the queen mothers, then asked hemaa Manso Nkwanta to sit at the back due to her being late, but she refused.

Manso Nkwanta-hemaa is said to have insisted that there was no hierarchy among queen mothers.

The source further said that Hemaa Manso Nkwanta expressed disappointment over Hemaa Mampong’s habit of constantly ordering other queen mothers around.

Considering this to be disrespectful, it escalated into a disagreement, ultimately leading to Hemaa Mampong’s decision not to welcome Hemaa Manso Nkwanta at the funeral.

Why did Hemaa Manso Nkwanta greet the other queen mothers first and then Hemaa Mampong

Traditionally, the Queen Mother or Chief is expected to greet those directly involved or organize the event before addressing others.

This custom raised concerns about hemaa Manso Nkwanta greeting hemaa Bechem and others in front of hemaa Mampong during a funeral.
