Pius XI High School vandalized with threatening graffiti

Leaders at Pius XI Catholic High School in Milwaukee say their building has been vandalized with threatening graffiti.

In a letter to parents, school officials said they had decided to cancel classes “due to the disruptive nature of the incident.”

School officials called the Milwaukee Police Department, which is investigating. MPD officers also remain on campus. On Monday morning, students who did come to school had their bags searched.

Students who came to school by car could leave on their own. Bus routes have been reorganized to accommodate the return of students. Students needing transportation were asked to wait for their parents at the field house. Parents who are unable to pick up their child are asked to email [email protected].

Any student left at school will have their bag searched. These students are asked to remain in the Union, where school staff can supervise them until their parents can pick them up.
