Diddy’s kids sing happy birthday over the phone while he’s in jail awaiting trial

Sean “Diddy” Combe The children spoke by phone with their father on his birthday as the music mogul remains behind bars after being arrested on charges of racketeering, sex trafficking and transportation for prostitution.

On Monday, November 4, the rapper’s 30-year-old son Justin shared a video on his instagram themselves and five of their six siblings when they called their father in prison to wish him a happy birthday. Justin can be seen holding the phone next to brother Christian, 26.

Twins D’Lila and Jesse, 17, sit on the other side of Christian, who walks past King while helping little sister Love, 2, sing to their dad. Older brother Quincy, 33, sits on the other side of Love, wearing a purple cap. Their 18-year-old sister Chance was not there in person, but was on another phone call via FaceTime.

“Happy birthday, daddy,” Love sings in the video, handing Quincy some frosting to eat off his finger.

“I love you all, I love you all so much,” Combs says over the phone. “I can’t wait to see you. I can’t wait to see you. I just want to say I’m proud of you, especially the girls, I mean all of you.”

“But just for being strong. Thank you all for being strong, thank you all for being there for me, supporting me, I love you. I have the best family in the world,” he continues. “It’s my birthday, I’m happy. Thanks everyone for calling me. Thank you very much. I love you all.”

“I can’t wait to see you in a couple of days,” Justin says, to which his dad replies, “Okay, I’ll see you in a couple of days.”

Love then buried her face in the birthday cake, taking a large bite of the frosting. “Pops, I love you. She eats the cake, so you won’t have any left,” Quincy says.

“Take this, take this for daddy. “I love you,” Diddy says.

In late October, six of Combs’ seven children—Quincy, Justin, Christian, Chance and twins D’Lila and Jesse—shared a joint statement obtained by PEOPLE “supporting” Diddy following his indictment.

“The last month has destroyed our family,” it began. “Many have judged him and us based on accusations, conspiracy theories and false narratives that have become absurd on social media.”

The statement continues: “We are united in supporting you every step of the way. We hold on to the truth, knowing that it will prevail and nothing will break the strength of our family. WE MISS YOU AND LOVE YOU DAD. Quincy, Justin, Christian, Chance, Jesse and D’Lila.”

In September Combs was accused on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation for prostitution, and was held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn after being denial of bail by two different judges.

His family traveled to New York to support him in his federal court hearing on Thursday, October 10. Combs’ mother Janice Combs — arrived from Florida — and his children were present at the federal courthouse in Manhattan.

“The kids were very happy to support their dad,” a source close to the family told PEOPLE at the time. “The whole family was happy. They are united in their support and he was glad to see them all here.”

Combs has pleaded not guilty to the charges against him, and his lawyers have filed an appeal seeking his release on bail before his trial, which is scheduled for May 2025.
