Local transportation company is offering free rides to the polls on Election Day.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — As Election Day approaches, one local company is making sure transportation doesn’t get in the way of you casting your vote.

Recognizing that getting to the polls can be a barrier for many eligible voters, Judah Elite Travel & Transportation Services is offering free rides to polling places in several cities.

Sean Gaffney, who founded Judah Elite 13 years ago in Atlanta, says the company has grown significantly, expanding to several other cities and offering a variety of transportation services, from luxury travel for the rich and famous to transportation for wedding receptions.

But on Election Day, Gaffney’s main focus will be making sure people can get to the polls, regardless of transportation issues.

“We always take care of the consumer,” Gaffney said. “We want everyone to have the opportunity to vote, and if transportation is an issue, we are here to help. We don’t want there to be any excuse for not voting.”

Gaffney, who understands that reliable transportation can be a challenge, especially for residents in more remote areas, emphasizes that the company is committed to helping people get to the polls, no matter the circumstances.

For example, a resident of Raintree Village in Hermitage, Tennessee, could drive five minutes to the nearest Hermitage Library polling station, but a 30-minute walk might make voting difficult for some people.

To make voting as accessible as possible, Gaffney’s team will offer free rides from the time polls open until they close on Election Day. The service will be available to anyone who needs a ride, without any questions asked.

“Whether it’s after hours, a scheduling conflict or someone just needs some extra help, we want to make sure people get where they need to go, especially when voting is so important,” Gaffney said.

This is not the first time Judah Elite has offered such a service. Gaffney provided free rides to the polls during the last presidential election and plans to continue this initiative in the future.

It is able to offer this service free of charge thanks to the support of corporate sponsors, including Gaffney Enterprises, LLC, Disciples for Christ Ministries, Global Walk Forgiveness, Hawley Rooks Real Estate, Ruthie Lee Entertainment, Church of the Messiah and Chic by Designs. .

A trip to see some of our neighbors’ best Halloween decorations.

Americans are expected to spend about $12 billion on candy, costumes and jewelry this year. Over the past few years, it seems like more and more people are going out of their way to decorate their homes. Forrest Sanders had the opportunity to visit several communities in the middle of the state to see some of these Halloween decorations.
