Who’s in and who’s out in week nine?

After a long wait, Kansas City Chiefs are almost ready to take the field against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Released in week 9 Monday night football has two of the most efficient offenses in the sport, although neither team is 100%.

As with every week, injuries are sure to play a role in Monday’s clash. Andy Reid’s team has dealt with a slew of missing players throughout the season, and Todd Bowles and company are still adjusting to life without two of their best hitters. The game should still be exciting, but as the season reaches the halfway point, exhaustion begins to set in.

With that in mind, here’s who’s inactive for Kansas City and Tampa Bay for the Week 9 matchup.

It’s another injury-filled week for the Chiefs. Smith-Schuster wins for the second game in a row. dropped out with a serious hamstring injury. He was joined by Danna, who returned to training this week but was limited in daily work due to a chest condition. Finally, Johnson suffered a concussion during a Week 8 win over the Las Vegas Raiders, and although he was limited on Friday and Saturday, he did not progress well enough to return to the lineup. To complete the depth chart, Kansas City advanced Justin Ross and defenseman Nick Jones from the practice squad on Monday.

Rookie tight end Jared Wiley isn’t listed here, and that’s because the fourth-round pick on the injured reserve list. He suffered a torn cruciate ligament in training on Friday, cutting short his debut campaign. With Wiley and Jodie Fortson (ACL and meniscus) both on IR, Peyton Hendershot was signed to the active roster from the practice squad. Anthony Firkser took over Hendershot’s spot on the practice squad later this week.

Players like Hanson, Driskell and Tuipulotu often appeared on the inactive list. It’s no surprise that they are named after Week 9 again. Edwards-Helaire has found himself in a similar boat since removed from the list of non-football diseases.

Before Monday’s game, Tampa Bay ruled out the duo of Evans and Gaines. McMillan tried to test his hamstring before the start of the game, but he was also unable to attend for week nine. This group, like the others listed, joins Chris Godwin and long snapper Evan Deckers (both on IR) against the Chiefs. .
