Two people rescued from multi-vehicle crash in Fairfax County

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Virginia (DC News Now) — Two people had to be rescued from their car after they were involved in a multi-vehicle crash Monday night.

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue said first responders were located near the eastbound lanes of Interstate 66 on Monument Drive.

Loudoun County is opening a hypothermia shelter for homeless adults.

Rescuers rescued two people, who were then taken to hospital.

Officials said all eastbound lanes are closed and drivers should expect delays.
