Dr. Mandy Sanchez

Since 2000, the Internet has become the main means of distributing pornography. Even hardcore porn is just a click away – it’s free, violent and based on the humiliation and abuse of women and children. The rise of smartphones, coupled with the rise of teen-targeted social media, has opened up even more opportunities for teens to access hardcore porn.

“We’re hearing that because of pornography, we’re seeing an increase in child abuse, an increase in child sexual abuse material that is being generated and actually supported by AI,” said Julie Feinauer, director of the Office of a Safe Environment for the Diocese of Covington. .

This presentation will look at the most popular social media platforms that youth have access to today, linking social media and the porn industry, and the harmful effects they have on young people.

A must-see presentation for anyone caring for children and vulnerable people in the modern world.

Pre-registration is recommended, but not required. Registration link: https://forms.gle/jgeLwrkQRZiu35oX8.

The presentation is being hosted by the Office of a Safe Environment and the Diocese of Covington Schools. Contact Julie Feinauer at [email protected] for more information.
