History of the Bengals vs. Eagles series heading into Week 8

Cincinnati Bengals They will host the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, a series that has favored Cincinnati over the years.

The Bengals and Eagles meet Sunday for the 15th time and first since 2020. Of the previous 14 meetings, the Bengals have won nine, while the Eagles have won three. Twice, all in the last four meetings, the two have tied. Their 2020 game ended 23–23, and their 2008 game ended 13–13 (Donovan McNabb’s famous speech about how games could end in ties).

The Bengals haven’t lost to the Eagles since a 16-7 win on Christmas Eve 2000. The Bengals won in 2004 (January 2005), 2012 and 2016 while keeping those two ties, leaving the Bengals with a five-game unbeaten streak against Philadelphia.

And there’s this: The Bengals have never lost at home to the Eagles. Sunday will be the sixth time the Eagles visit Cincinnati. The Bengals have a 4-0-1 record at home against the Eagles.

This isn’t a matchup we see very often, but it has history very much on the Bengals’ side.
