Linkin Park’s breakthrough single is still reaching new chart heights almost a quarter of a century later

Linkin Park scored one of the biggest hits in hard rock history with “In the End”, which turned out to be a cross-genre hit. The tune, which included dark lyrical content and even former vocalist Chester Bennington’s signature scream, proved popular outside the rock space and remains a classic for a generation of music lovers.

“In the End” is on the rise in America this week. Breakthrough success Linkin Park is performing well again and even manages to reach a new peak on one Billboard chart.

The single that made Linkin Park a household name impressively climbed to the top of the Alternative Streaming Songs chart. “In the End” jumped from No. 21 to No. 15, which is now a record for the tune—at least on the list of the most-streamed alternative tunes in the country.

“In the End” reaches a new high after more than six months on the alternative streaming list. The track stayed on the charts for 27 weeks straight, and that total is likely to increase again as the hit is clearly still hugely popular.

As “In the End” climbs the Alternative Streaming Songs chart, it also returns to new heights. Linkin Park sees its first huge hit return to the Rock Streaming Songs chart at No. 25. The song once again tops the Hard Rock Streaming Songs list.

“In the End” was released in October 2001 as the final single from Linkin Park’s debut album. Hybrid theorywho arrived a year earlier. This line-up includes two of their most successful and recognizable tracks, “In the End” and “Numb”, which are ranked number one and number two respectively, as well as three tracks from their upcoming album.
