SpaceX CRS-31 docks with the International Space Station after delivery

CAPE CANAVERAL, FL. – SpaceX Falcon 9 recently launched its 31st Dragon Commercial Supply Service Mission to the International Space Station from Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

Falcon 9 lifted off from Complex Pad 39A at the Kennedy Space Center on Monday and landed at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station after stage separation. Dragon then autonomously docked with the ISS around 9 a.m. Tuesday.

The launch delivered more than 6,000 pounds of cargo to the ISS, including scientific materials, equipment and research, according to NASA.

“Scientific research traveling on the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft includes studies of solar wind, radiation-resistant moss, spacecraft materials, and cold welding in space,” NASA added.
