Travis Kelce Posts Heartfelt Message to Jason Kelce Following Penn State Fan Incident

Jason Kelce smashed Penn State fan’s phone on Saturday after a fan made homophobic slurs toward his brother and Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce. He apologized for his actions on Monday night during ESPN Monday night countdown.

Kelsey’s remorseful episode from New Heights which aired Wednesday, continued to express regret for his actions.

“My reaction brought attention to him and also brought publicity to the situation,” Kelsey said. “This is something I regret. It didn’t deserve attention. It’s really stupid and if I just keep going… It’s a measly burger. Nobody sees him. Now he’s out there somewhere and he’s just perpetuating more hate.”

Kelce further explained that he regrets responding to a fan’s homophobic slur, adding that the man supporting the Nittany Lions got under his skin.

But Travis Kelce, who praised his brother for the way he handled the fallout from the situation, also came to his defense.

“I know this is weighing on you, brother,” Kelsey said. “This sucks. You shouldn’t feel so strongly… Obviously, the scrutiny and opinion of the media… And everyone who distributes the videos that are out there. This will make the situation even more serious than I am. think about what it really is.”

“But the real situation is that some damn clown came up to you and talked about your family, and you reacted in a way that was defending your family. And you may have used some words that you regret. And it’s a situation where you just have to learn from it and accept it.”

“And I think the fact that you own it and talk about it shows how sincere you are to a lot of people in this world.”
