Recently, new reports have shown that Philadelphia Phillies plan to increase wages in 2025. Fans should weigh in on the owners’ decision, as the Phillies are already among the top spenders in Major League Baseball.

While no fan should be upset if they made minor moves and had comparable salaries in 2025, it’s clear that the people in charge want to win as much as everyone else.

For Philadelphia, the decision may not have been too difficult. It’s not that they always have to spend money and increase their salaries, but they almost have to. At this point, at the current payroll, they were either bringing back the same team without a few guys or continuing to go all in.

Another $100 million or so may not be that much money for the owners. That’s saying something, because there are plenty of clubs in baseball that wouldn’t do the same thing.
