It’s been a roller coaster of a year for Jennifer Lopezand she approaches the holidays with balance, taking time to recuperate while maintaining her wellness routine. Christmas is just around the corner and the mother of two is ready to celebrate with her family while staying hydrated.

Lopez said that her favorite holiday is approaching. PEOPLE in a recent interview, she said she’s ready to “slow down” and spend time with her East Coast children and family after what she called a “pretty busy year.”

“The holidays are a special time for us and they always have been since I was a little girl. And I’m really looking forward to those moments when I can be with my sisters and just relax and have fun and create new memories,” she told the publication.
