GOP poll reveals how much Harris ‘absolutely’ cost herself to win election

Long-running Republican pollster Frank Luntz claimed that Kamala Harrisdecision to “closely” join Joe Biden led to her loss in the presidential election Donald Trump on Tuesday.

“Was she loyal? Absolutely. Did this hurt her during the election campaign? Absolutely,” Luntz said in an interview with the publication CNNWolf Blitzer on Wednesday.

Luntz speaks out about senior Harris campaign official told CNN’s MJ Lee that the president bears “great blame” for her defeat.

Row Democrats have since criticized Biden for his decision to seek re-election last year, saying he “hung too longbefore abandoning his candidacy for the presidency in July.

The Harris aide also pointed to the vice president’s interview on The View last month, where she told the hosts that she couldn’t think of anything she could do differently than Biden over the past four years, Reuters reports this..

Luntz, who last week described the 2024 race as a reminder to him:most of 2016said Harris decided to “not differentiate herself” from Biden toward the end of the campaign.

“And you can support someone and still say, ‘I’m something else.’ I’m not like him. I’m not like him. We have complementary points of view, but they are not identical,” Luntz said.

“And then she could go away and stand out. Once again, it was her choice to work so closely with Biden.”

Luntz told Blitzer that she has “no reason” to be different from Biden.

He added that in this year’s election she had to deal with “two of the most important issues”: affordability and immigration/”overall personal safety.”

“And in both cases she had to take part. She couldn’t give it up,” Luntz said.

“It’s not enough to talk about health care. It’s not enough to talk about women’s health. She had to solve these problems. She didn’t, at least not until the very end. And this again cost her dearly because she did not want to differentiate between herself and the president.”
