Pokemon TCG Pocket players are outraged when Misty’s card is declared completely ‘broken’

Misty’s card in Pokemon TCG Pocket has been criticized by the community for being “rigged” and “poorly designed.”

Pokemon TCG Pocket is quickly gaining popularity and players are starting to come up with strategies on which cards are most useful and how meta games works.

Certain cards have more power than othersbut players claim one card is “totally broken” and “rigged.”

Enter Misty’s card. This support item can be played once per turn, and if successful, it can provide a huge advantage, and in some cases, ensure your victory. Misty can be used in Water-type Pokemon decks and has the following effects.

“Choose one of your Water-type Pokémon and flip the coin until it lands on heads. For each head, take a Water-type Energy from your Energy Zone and attach it to that Pokemon.”

In other words, the Misty card means you can buff up Water-type Pokémon and use energy attacks instantly, rather than having to wait another turn, or in some cases, multiple turns, before attacking.

Thanks to this feature, players throughout the community are calling for a rework of the map. Naturally there is there is a lot of luck involvedbut several players said the odds were “rigged”.

On social media and platforms like Reddit, Pokemon TCG Pocket players have been told that the odds are either never in their favor or always.

One player shared the post on Reddit where they landed on their heads eleven times in a row. Others claim that twenty-four tails came up in a row, and there is almost unanimous agreement that the card should be changed.

Some suggested energy limit is used from the Misty card for every game, while others simply call for the developers to completely rework the system.

Given the intensity of the meta and competitive play, there are concerns that Misty alone could be the card that completely unbalances the entire game.

“Misty is such a poorly designed card. Every time they throw a couple of heads, you essentially have to give in. In a game where one move can be decisive, missing 2-3 turns with her is absurd,” wrote one Reddit user.

As of this writing, the developers have yet to talk about these growing gigs, but we’ll be sure to keep you posted if and when they do.
