Sempolinski “honored” to be a member of the Legislative Assembly | News, Sports, Vacancies

Former U.S. Rep. Joe Sempolinski, Republican/Conservative Party candidate for the 148th New York State Assembly District, “deserved” to serve the residents of the Southern Tier.

“I’m looking forward to getting to work fighting for people.” He said this in a statement late Tuesday. “I will always ensure that the voice of the Southern Tier is heard loud and clear in the state capital. There is a lot of work to be done to get New York State back on track. The common sense of the people of this region is greatly needed by the state government. I also look forward to working with people as they navigate increasingly intrusive government bureaucracy.”

Sempolinski expressed gratitude to all constituents, especially his family. “My wife and children have been my support and inspiration throughout this campaign. I love them so much.”

Sempolinsky also expressed words of respect for his predecessor. “Joe Giglio has proven that you can do the job of an Assemblyman with diligence and honor if you focus on people rather than politics. I hope to live up to his legacy.”

“It has been the honor of a lifetime to serve this region in the United States Congress.” Sempolinski added. “I’m very lucky to have gained people’s trust again. I won’t let you down.”

The 148th Legislative District consists of all of Allegany and Cattaraugus counties, as well as part of Steuben County.
