Giants won’t make QB change from Daniel Jones ahead of Munich vs. Panthers

Giants won’t make QB change from Daniel Jones ahead of Munich vs. Panthers

Current players are the winners this week, but only in the NFL. Carolina Panthers has already decided not to trade QB despite Andy Dalton’s improving health. Bryce Young earned his third straight start this week in Munich. The New York Giants are also reportedly not making a quarterback change.

National and local media were calling for head coach Brian Daboll to move on from Daniel Jones and bench him. Even against the worst defense in the league, the head coach doesn’t want to see what’s on his depth chart.

The head coach refused to move Drew Lock or even 2023 breakout star Tommy DeVito up the depth chart against the Panthers. One could argue that this is the perfect opportunity to see if Lock or DeVito can become a future starter, but Daboll is sticking with the veteran.

The Giants coach also said he won’t be changing practice reps at quarterback, so there’s no reason to expect anyone other than Jones to be in camp Sunday morning. The Panthers have a porous defense, so it may not matter much which defenseman faces them in Munich in a Week 10 matchup involving 2-7 teams.
