Can you solve this ancient riddle? #11

In 1907, American writer George Shorb published Mysteries and magic of the living rooman illustrated collection of jokes, puzzles, card games, parlor games, magic tricks and tongue twisters – or, in his words, “literary curiosities and gymnastics for the language.”

The first part of the book contains a series of question-and-answer style riddles and lateral thinking puzzles. Some of them are still well known to puzzle lovers, for example: “Which island was the largest in the world before the discovery of Australia?” break your promise?”** asks one riddle. (Scroll down to see answers to both questions.)

Luckily, the simple riddle below has stood the test of time. Can you solve this problem?

*Australia
**Because three doubts make drama.
