Your Guide to a Free 10-Day Event in Scottsdale

SCOTTSDALE, AZ. — Scottsdale Arts Channel Convergence returns this month! The free annual public art event will take place November 8-17 on the Scottsdale waterfront.

This year’s main theme is “Reflections!”

“We’re excited for the public to not only engage with this work, but to use it to connect with each other and the surrounding landscape in new ways,” said Ryan Swanson, founder and creative director of Urban Conga, in a press release. sent to ABC15.

  • Where: Scottsdale Riverwalk (between Scottsdale Road and Goldwater Boulevard).

FIRE SHOW AND DRONE PERFORMANCES

MINI FILM FESTIVAL

The Canal Convergence mini-film festival will also return on November 15th and 16th. The short films featured in the series are said to “explore the concept of physical and psychological reflection and address the annual themes of Canal Convergence.”

According to Ciara Brown, event coordinator at Canal Convergence, visitors will be able to see short films in the genres of comedy, romance, animation, etc.

LIVE MUSIC

The Herberger Stage will feature acoustic, indie, jazz, folk, country, rock, alternative R&B, indie pop and more! Evening performances will begin at 18:00 and will take place on the Herberger Stage in Soleri Plaza.

WORKSHOP

More than just art, this Scottsdale event includes several workshops.

Event tickets range from $10 to $35 per person and include workshops where you can create an infinity mirror, fall wreath and other activities and creations.

Some are “free and available upon request,” hosted by Cosanti, the Scottsdale Artists League, the Arizona Veterans Missionary Group, and others.
